We built this fluffy feline costume and tried to convincingly float in the ocean.

We caught up with Lisa Pantages, Queen of the Polar Bear Swim. (Technically she's President, but she was rocking her cool Polar Bear Crown so she gets an upgrade). She's a delight.
This Derpy build is surprisingly good at selfies. I don't know if it's the giant eyes, or the fact that we put them on slightly off-kilter, but they seem to follow the camera so it looks like he's really into it. (He was).
Derpy Costume Build Process
We made the two person costume from styrofoam, EVA foam floor rolls and latex paint. The back is pretty patchwork because we upcycled our previous Totoro build for the body. We created the new head, front paws and added it to a trimmed down Totoro body.
